Sharks?! Many people relate sharks with danger and choose never to go near them. But really, its about time we get past the stereotypes we impose on these harmless creatures.
To mark the opening of the ParkView Museum, the exhibition on environmental issues regarding shark protection and ocean conservation will bring together over 30 artworks from Singapore and all over the world. With several art pieces stretching over 6-metres, the exhibition will be a sight to behold for everyone.
Shark enthusiast or not, head down to the exhibition and learn more about it this weekend!

#3 Embroidery and Beadwork in the Peranakan World

The Peranakan culture has been brougt to light since the release of Singapore's blockbuster TV Series, The Little Nyonya.
The exhibition displays the art of Nyonya needlework from the Peranakan Museum and major international collections. Expect to find delicate curtains, purses, slippers and clothing painstakingly stitched with tiny beads and threads.
Guests can join a free tour around the museum at 3PM on Saturdays and 12PM on Sundays. A trip down to the museum will definitely be an eye-opening experience as we learn more about the Peranakan culture.

Container themed festivals are now the in thing. Punggol East now houses 7 container bistro eateries. The container park transports you out of Singapore with its scenic view and artsy atmosphere. What's better than indulging in delicious and scrumptious food? Savouring it with a view. :-)
The 7 bistro eateries provide a wide array of food ranging from mains to sides and finally dessert! Doesn't matter if you have a sweet tooth or prefer savoury food because there is something for everyone!
Tip for poor students with a tight-budge: Fill your stomachs (to maybe the three quarter mark) before coming and just spend a little on snacks while you wander around and enjoy the ambience.
